UK RESIDENTS ONLY

Organisation:

Participate in staff meetings, supervision and staff training where applicable.

Adhere to The Mellowes Nursing Home policies and procedures. Any other duties that the post holder may reasonably be expected to perform.
Functional:

To be aware of the resident's dietary needs and respond to their comments and requests in respect of the menu.

To be involved with the preparation and serving of breakfast and teas and coffees.

To hold a suitable food and hygiene certificate and attend any mandatory training as required.

To dispose of waste correctly.

To ensure that all food is used within the prescribed period, with particular attention paid to perishable goods.

To contribute in the serving of food.

To perform other such reasonable duties as may be required.

To follow the cleaning schedule for the kitchen and washing up area and maintain correct documentation.

To maintain accurate stock control and stock rotation.

On occasion to assist in the preparation and cooking the menu meals to the required standard.

To assist in the economic use of materials.

. On occasion be able to step in for the Main Chef and cook meals for residents when required.

Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills

Overall:

Committed to provide a high-quality service at all times.

Responsive to resident's individual dietary and cultural needs.

Willing to attend such training sessions that are deemed necessary by line management. Show an aptitude towards continuous learning and development.

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour
