We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with a willingness to learn and assist in various kitchen tasks. This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of our kitchen, ensuring that food preparation meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
Duties
Assist in meal preparation and food preparation under the guidance of chefs and cooks.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing utensils and equipment.
Help with catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting in serving meals.
Follow food safety protocols to ensure hygiene standards are met at all times.
Support the culinary team in various tasks as needed, including stocking supplies and inventory management.
Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is advantageous but not essential.
Basic knowledge of food safety principles and practices.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new culinary techniques.
