Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team at The Residence Bar & Kitchen. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the General Manager with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. This position is perfect for individuals with a passion for food and a desire to grow their culinary skills in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of the head chef or kitchen manager Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as required Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and utensils Support catering events by assisting in food service and setup as needed Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and reporting shortages Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including catering or restaurant experience Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary practices Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in meal preparation Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.41-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
