We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by assisting with various tasks related to food preparation and service. Duties

Assist in meal preparation by chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes as directed by the chef. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and stored. Support food safety practices by adhering to hygiene standards and regulations during food handling and preparation. Help with serving meals to customers or guests, ensuring presentation meets the establishment's standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods. Participate in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages or needs for replenishment.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred Basic cooking skills and knowledge of meal preparation techniques are advantageous. Understanding of food safety regulations and practices to maintain a safe working environment. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality food presentation. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 10.00-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
