Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. Duties

Assist in the preparation of meals, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Support chefs in cooking and plating dishes, following established recipes and guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Help with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling ingredients for cooking. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Assist in serving meals to customers or staff as required, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Participate in catering events as needed, contributing to menu planning and execution.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is highly desirable, including restaurant or catering experience. Strong understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards. DBS needs to be on the update service. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting. Good communication skills to work collaboratively with team members. A positive attitude and a passion for food preparation and service.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
