Monkey Puzzle Eltham is currently looking for a

dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant

to join our amazing team! If you're passionate about food and love working in a child-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role:

You'll be responsible for supporting the smooth running of our nursery kitchen. Although meals are currently delivered via an external catering service, some cooking may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing and serving children's meals and snacks Supporting children's dietary requirements, allergies, and preferences Washing up and keeping kitchen areas clean and tidy Following food hygiene and safety standards in line with our 5-star rating Completing food stock checks and delivery orders Following and contributing to weekly menu planning Ensuring compliance with all relevant food hygiene legislation

Requirements:

Previous kitchen experience is essential Experience in a nursery or school setting is

highly desirable

Awareness of food hygiene and safety regulations Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Flexibility and reliability

Hours & Additional Info:

Core hours: 35 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 10:00am-5:30pm) Additional hours may be available for the right candidate or those seeking full-time work Start date: Ideally

October/November 2025
