Kitchen Assistant

About us;

Nestled in the heart of the lovely market town of Chipping Norton lies The Blue Boar. A stunning pub dating from the 17th century offering a 'best of British' seasonal menu alongside a range of premium old & new world wines, international lagers, well-conditioned ales and fantastic personal service from our small, friendly team. We're a busy pub serving great food every day and have a busy bar serving locals and visitors alike. Our Kitchen Assistants play an important role in the kitchen, assisting our Chefs in food preparation & ensuring our kitchen is clean, tidy & organised at all times. This is a minimum of 30hrs per week & can include weekends. Applicants should be able to work flexible shifts including lunch & dinner.

We are looking for an existing Kitchen Assistant or an individual looking for their next step to their hospitality career, who considers themselves to have a passion to work within a reliable team that delivers high quality standards. We need hard-working and dedicated people behind the scenes to help our lovely pub run smoothly and to ensure that it's always clean and tidy. As the successful Kitchen Porter you will:


Be an active hands-on person with a passion to work hard as part of a team Have high standards and a great work ethic You will show willingness to learn new skills, be an active team player with excellent communication skills Be working alongside your kitchen team and will be able to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to deliver top quality service Demonstrate great planning and organisational skills to complete day to day tasks Able to work weekends as required
