We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation and food safety practices, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients under the direction of chefs or cooks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces. Help with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling dishes. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations at all times. Support catering events by preparing food items as required and assisting with service. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, following all operational guidelines. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal delivery and high-quality service.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Basic culinary skills and knowledge of meal preparation techniques are advantageous. Familiarity with food safety practices and hygiene standards is preferred. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Flexibility to assist with various tasks as needed during busy periods or special events.
