Kitchen Assistant

At Black Swan Care Group, we are currently looking for a kitchen assistant to work in one of our residential care facilities, Drummonds on a part time, 33 hour, permanent contract, 12.60 per hour.

Drummonds is a residential care home for adults with physical or learning disabilities in the charming village of Feering, between Colchester and Witham in Essex

Responsibilities of a Kitchen Assistant:

Assist the Cook with unloading fresh supplies and organising the stockroom. Checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock. Reviewing kitchen inventory and determining what items are needed. Assist the Cook when required with washing, peeling, and preparing food ingredients and using equipment such as mixers, special knives and cutters. Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes and pans and observing cooking times and correct temperatures. . (completing daily cleaning schedules/ documenting items cleaned) Assist in the preparation of meals, light snacks and drink in line with IDDSI requirements as needed (Full training provided)
