Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our culinary team in the role of Cook / Kitchen Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, cooking, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and assist in the cooking of a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards of Our care Home. Support the kitchen team in meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery of orders. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations. Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and replenishment of supplies. Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all staff. Support serving staff during busy periods, including plating dishes and assisting with customer requests when necessary. Contribute to maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere within the kitchen and dining areas.

Qualifications

Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude towards the residents and their dietary requirements. A genuine interest in culinary arts and customer service excellence. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-13.80 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 20 per week
