As a Kitchen Assistant in our Dromore kitchen you will be responsible for preparing and assembling sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to production schedules on a day-to-day basis. This includes preparing and filling workstations, building product as well as packaging and labelling food products. All training will be provided to give you the confidence to carry out your job to the best of your ability and the Carnbrooke standard.
Duties
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients for various dishes.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all utensils and equipment are properly cleaned and stored.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained at all times.
Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere while also being capable of taking initiative when required.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.
Excellent communication skills to interact with kitchen staff and other team members effectively.
