Job Description

We are currently looking to hire an enthusiastic full-time Kitchen Assistant who can help provide the meals service at our Care Home in Castlemilk, Glasgow.

The ideal candidate will be experienced within a similar role, have a flexible approach to work and be able to work 40 hours per week, 5 days from 7. You will have a desire to deliver the highest possible standard within the role, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Previous experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

The Role & Responsibilities:

To help prepare meals under the direction of the Chef Ensuring the kitchen and dining areas are hygienically clean and organised Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment Help with the storage and stock rotation of food items Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment Complying with infection control policies and procedures and following appropriate hand hygiene measures

What We Are Looking For:

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential A positive attitude and a willingness to learn Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team Strong communication skills Understanding of food hygiene practices is a plus
