We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Duties

Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients for various dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all utensils and equipment are properly cleaned and stored. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained. Support chefs and cooks during meal preparation by providing assistance as needed. Help with the setup and breakdown of catering events, ensuring all food items are presented attractively. Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Basic understanding of food safety regulations and practices is advantageous. A passion for cooking and a willingness to help others in a team-oriented setting is essential. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen atmosphere.
