We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our Care Home catering team. Duties
Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients, ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
Support chefs with cooking tasks as required, contributing to meal presentation and service.
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages.
Serve meals to residents or guests as needed, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, particularly in catering or restaurant settings.
Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques are advantageous.
Understanding of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are necessary for success in this role.

Other Information:
We are looking to recruit 1 x Kitchen Assistant working 33 hours per week on a 2 week rolling rota this includes working weekends, bank holidays & the festive period therefore a flexible approach to working hours is essential.
Any offer of employment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and 2 x Employer references.
