We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Responsibilities

- Assist with ensuring breakfast is delivered to residents and assisted where necessary in a timely manner.

Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients with proficient knife skills. Support chefs in cooking tasks and ensure that all food is prepared according to recipes and safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Handle food safely by following proper hygiene practices and adhering to food safety regulations. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and assisting with food storage. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Participate in catering events as required, providing support in food service and presentation.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with cooking techniques and meal preparation processes is advantageous. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential. Culinary experience or training in the food industry will be considered a plus. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are necessary for success in this role.
