We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and meal service run smoothly. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Support chefs in various culinary tasks, ensuring efficient workflow in the kitchen. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Adhere to food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times. Help with catering events by preparing meals according to specified menus and dietary requirements. Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the head chef. Participate in training sessions to improve culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred but not essential. A basic understanding of culinary techniques and food safety regulations is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen. A genuine interest in developing culinary skills and knowledge within the hospitality industry.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
