Job Overview

We are a fast-paced, traditional and authentic Indian (Punjabi) fast-food restaurant seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant / Line Cook to join our kitchen team.

This role is suited to someone comfortable working in a high-volume environment with a good understanding of Indian cuisine and kitchen culture. Punjabi and Hindi language skills are essential.

Duties

Supporting day-to-day kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment Assisting with food preparation and cooking across various kitchen sections Working on kitchen line duties during service periods Preparing a range of traditional Indian foods, including breads, snacks, and sweets Assisting with tandoor, frying, and other cooking methods as required Following recipes and instructions accurately Supporting timely order output during busy periods Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards Assisting with stock handling, deliveries, and general kitchen organisation Working flexibly to meet operational demands

Qualifications

Previous experience in an Indian kitchen or fast-food environment preferred Ability to work efficiently under pressure Punjabi and Hindi speaking - essential Understanding of Indian (Punjabi) food and kitchen culture Good time management and teamwork skills Physically able to handle kitchen duties Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
