Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. Duties

Assist in meal preparation and food preparation tasks, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Support cooks with cooking tasks, including chopping, mixing, and cooking ingredients as required. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Help with internal catering events by preparing dishes according to specific menus and dietary requirements. Serve meals to residents, visitors and sisters of the community, ensuring an excellent dining experience. Follow instructions from head chefs and kitchen managers to ensure efficient workflow.

Experience

Previous kitchen experience or culinary experience is preferred but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is advantageous. Experience in catering or restaurant environments will be considered a plus. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy kitchen setting. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food quality.
