Supportive Role in a Care Home Environment

We are currently seeking reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistants to support catering operations in care home settings. This role is ideal for someone with a positive attitude, good hygiene practices, and a willingness to work as part of a dedicated team that supports the daily wellbeing of residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and food service areas Wash up and manage kitchen equipment and utensils Follow food safety, health, and hygiene regulations Support the cook or chef with day-to-day tasks Ensure dietary requirements are followed appropriately Dispose of waste correctly and keep stock areas tidy

Requirements:

Previous kitchen or catering experience is desirable, but not essential Basic understanding of food hygiene (training can be provided) Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment Flexible and willing to take on varied tasks Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one (essential)

Pay: 12.21-12.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
