We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our Agency. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation of meals and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role is essential in supporting our chefs and ensuring that all food safety standards are upheld. Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation and food preparation tasks as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager. Help in the cooking process, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately. Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with serving as needed. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure that all food is handled safely and hygienically. Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and storing food items correctly. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Basic culinary skills and knowledge of meal preparation techniques. Understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
