Kitchen Assistant Part Time
Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity here at Primley House Residential home for a Kitchen Assistant to work minimum of 16 hours, including every other weekend. Cooking experience would be an advantage, or a willingness to learn with any training being given. Extra hours may be available to cover staff on holiday. Weekend and overtime rates.
We pride ourselves here at Primley House with providing the best care possible and have a very good reputation because of this. We are also lucky to be in the building that used to be home to the Whitley family, the creators of Paignton Zoo.
We have 35 residents living at Primley House and our priority is allowing them to have as fulfilled and happy a life as they can, including providing a healthy and varied choice of food.
We are lucky to have an amazing team of staff here who will go above and beyond to help other staff and the residents.
Role Specification
To provide practical support to the Chef, and fellow kitchen staff within each shift. To train towards covering for the Chef on occasions. To provide and maintain excellent standards of work, whilst ensuring all basic rules of good health and hygiene are observed and promoted within the kitchen. To provide all meals for residents, ensuring high standards of cooking and allowing for personal choice.
