Duties

Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Follow food safety protocols to ensure that all food is handled and stored correctly. Help with the setup and breakdown of catering events as needed. Support cooks during busy periods by preparing ingredients and assisting with cooking tasks. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is advantageous but not essential. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terms. Understanding of food safety regulations and practices. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team. A passion for cooking and eagerness to learn more about the culinary arts.
