We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and safety standards are met. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about the culinary arts and looking to gain experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Duties
Assist in food preparation and meal assembly.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
Help with catering events by preparing ingredients and setting up food stations.
Ensure all food safety protocols are followed, including proper storage of ingredients and maintaining hygiene standards.
Support the culinary team during busy service periods by assisting with various tasks as needed.
Participate in inventory management by helping to track supplies and report shortages.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen environment, such as catering, restaurant, or food preparation roles, is advantageous but not essential.
A basic understanding of food safety practices is preferred.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are crucial for maintaining kitchen efficiency.
