We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. Duties

Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of chefs and kitchen supervisors. Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and marinating as required. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and utensils. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Support catering activities by assisting in the setup and serving of food at events. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy periods. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and assisting in ordering supplies when necessary.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards is highly desirable. Basic culinary skills, including cooking techniques and meal preparation methods. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality food presentation. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to catering and food preparation.
