We are seeking a motivated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys food service and a keen eye for cleanliness and organisation. The Kitchen Assistant will support the kitchen staff in meal preparation, food safety, and maintaining a hygienic environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable catering and kitchen experience within a dynamic setting.
Duties
Assist with food preparation and meal assembly, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards
Support the catering team in setting up and clearing workstations before and after service
Help with cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces in accordance with food safety regulations
Organise ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Serve food to customers or staff as required, maintaining excellent customer service standards
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to uphold hygiene standards
Assist with inventory checks and stock rotation to minimise waste
Support the team during busy periods by performing various kitchen tasks as needed
Qualifications
Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous
Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation are preferred
Experience in food preparation, kitchen work, or culinary roles will be beneficial
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills and a team-oriented attitude
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings or weekends if necessary

Due to location it is preferable to drive however a bus stop is situated right outside the drive of the venue.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: 12.21-12.81 per hour
