Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. This position is perfect for individuals with a passion for cooking and a desire to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in meal preparation and food preparation tasks under the guidance of chefs. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes and cleaning work surfaces. Support catering services by preparing ingredients and assisting with serving meals. Ensure adherence to food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times. Help with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods. Participate in the setup and breakdown of kitchen equipment as needed.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including restaurant or catering experience. Familiarity with food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in meal preparation and serving. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy setting. Excellent teamwork skills, demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively with others in the kitchen. Pay: From 12.21 per hour
