Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a desire to learn within a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role is essential in supporting our chefs with meal preparation, food safety, and ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly. Previous experience in catering or restaurants is advantageous, but we welcome candidates who are eager to develop their culinary skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking and meal assembly Support chefs with cooking tasks as required, ensuring high standards of food quality Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and utensils Adhere to food safety guidelines and hygiene standards at all times Help with serving meals during busy periods, ensuring timely delivery to customers Participate in stock management, including receiving deliveries and storing items appropriately Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations

Requirements

Previous kitchen experience or culinary training is preferred although not essential. Familiarity with food safety practices and hygiene regulations Experience in meal preparation within a catering or restaurant setting is beneficial Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with colleagues Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and priorities in a busy environment A passion for food and willingness to learn new skills

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 45 per week
