Job Purpose
To support the smooth running of the kitchen by ensuring all utensils, equipment, and work areas are kept clean, hygienic, and ready for use. The Kitchen Assistant / Pot Washer plays a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and assisting the kitchen team where required.
Key Responsibilities
Wash pots, pans, trays, cutlery, crockery, and other kitchen equipment to a high standard.
Operate dishwashing machinery and ensure it is cleaned and maintained correctly.
Keep kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas clean, tidy, and safe.
Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required, such as peeling, chopping, or portioning.
Empty bins and follow correct waste disposal and recycling procedures.
Adhere to all food hygiene, health, and safety regulations at all times.
Report any maintenance issues or equipment faults promptly.
Work as part of a team to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly during busy service periods.

Salary
In line with National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
