We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting with various tasks related to food preparation and service. Duties
Assist in meal preparation and cooking, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
Support chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Help with serving meals during catering events or restaurant service as required.
Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages to senior staff.
Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including roles such as catering assistant or kitchen porter.
Familiarity with cooking techniques and meal preparation processes is advantageous.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for hygiene is essential.
Experience in a restaurant setting will be considered a plus, particularly in fast-paced environments.
DBS must has to be on the update service.
