We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. This role involves supporting the preparation and service of meals in a busy catering or restaurant environment. Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation and food presentation under the supervision of the head chef or kitchen manager Support food safety and hygiene practices in accordance with health regulations Help with cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces Prepare ingredients such as chopping vegetables, assembling salads, or portioning ingredients for cooking Restock supplies and organise storage areas to ensure smooth kitchen operations Serve food to customers or staff as required, ensuring presentation standards are maintained Assist with basic cooking tasks, including following recipes and instructions accurately Support the team during busy service periods by ensuring timely preparation and delivery of meals

Qualifications

Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous Basic understanding of meal and food preparation techniques Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately Friendly attitude with excellent teamwork skills Willingness to learn new skills and contribute positively to the team

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.21-15.11 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 37.5 per week
