Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about food service, with a keen eye for food safety and excellent organisational skills. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience in catering, meal preparation, and kitchen operations within a professional setting.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards Support the catering team in preparing ingredients and organising supplies for service Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen area, including washing utensils, surfaces, and equipment Ensure proper storage of ingredients and food items following food safety regulations Help with serving meals to customers or guests as required Support stock rotation and inventory management to prevent waste Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Experience

Previous experience in a catering, restaurant, or hospitality environment is essential; although training will be provided Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, and kitchen safety protocols is desirable Experience in meal preparation or food safety practices will be considered a plus Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment A positive attitude with good organisational skills and attention to detail
