We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Duties

Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and preparing ingredients for cooking. Support chefs and cooks in executing menu items efficiently and to high standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces are sanitised. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the safe handling and storage of food products. Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen equipment for catering events or restaurant service. Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting shortages. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills is advantageous. Understanding of food safety regulations and practices is beneficial. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Pay: 11.44-15.95 per hour
