Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our chefs and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. Duties

Assist in the preparation of meals, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all work surfaces are sanitised and tidy. Follow food safety protocols to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to senior staff. Support the chefs during busy service periods by preparing ingredients and assisting with cooking tasks as required. Participate in the cleaning of kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances after use. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely meal preparation.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment, whether in a restaurant, catering service, or culinary setting is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is advantageous. A keen interest in culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills is essential. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
