Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic team member to join our us here at the, newly expanded, Dundee Cycle Hub Cafe
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, provide excellent customer service to our lovely customers and help make beautiful coffees. Kitchen experience would be required, barista training will be provided.
This position requires a reliable. proactive individual who is passionate about food and coffee and enjoys working in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

General preparation and service of our cafe menu.. Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Serve customers promptly and courteously, providing knowledgeable information about menu items and daily specials. Handle cash transactions accurately, applying basic maths skills for processing payments. Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring that all equipment and utensils are clean and ready for use. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods. Make beautiful Barista coffees.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a food service environment is essential. Barista skills would be advantageous also. Strong time management skills and a good dose of common sense. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders. A chatty, friendly manner with excellent communication skills, capable of providing help to customers and colleagues alike. Ability to work well under pressure with a small team in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
