We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, supporting chefs and other kitchen staff in food preparation and service. Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Support chefs during service by preparing and serving dishes as required.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Manage inventory by checking stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies when necessary.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation.
Perform basic barista duties, including preparing coffee and other beverages when needed.
Skills
Strong understanding of food safety practices to maintain hygiene standards in the kitchen.
Previous barista experience is advantageous for those interested in beverage preparation.
Ability to serve food efficiently while maintaining a friendly customer service approach.
Proficient in food preparation techniques with a keen eye for detail.
Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory.
