We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a desire to learn in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Cook, you will support the kitchen staff in meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This role is essential for ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Support with cooking tasks, ensuring meals are prepared to high standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled properly and safely. Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels. Participate in catering events as needed, assisting with meal setup and service. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required. Basic cooking skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques are essential. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods are advantageous. Understanding of food safety standards and practices is necessary. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A passion for the culinary arts and a willingness to learn from experienced chefs is highly valued.
