Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook/kitchen assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meal preparation and food safety, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. As a Cook, you will play an essential role in creating delicious meals that meet our restaurant's standards while ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly, efficiently & tidy.

Duties

Food Preparation and help cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Assist in the planning of menus, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages or issues to management. Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred, demonstrating skills in meal preparation and food handling. Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety regulations is essential. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a diverse team. A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests is highly desirable.
