We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as a Culinary Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of meals while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and culinary techniques, with experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment.
Duties
Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices.
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
Participate in menu planning and development, offering creative ideas for new dishes.
Requirements
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a kitchen or restaurant setting.
Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
Excellent culinary skills with the ability to follow recipes accurately.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
