Job Overview

We are looking for an individual who can work independently, plus have an excellent attitude to become one of our kitchen team. Must be pro-active and able to multi-task. As we are a very small kitchen/team, everyone is expected to work all parts of the kitchen. Training will be provided for candidates. No previous kitchen experience is necessary.

We are proud to be an independent cafe and we offer a unique dining experience.

These will be daytime shifts only, 5 shifts per week across all 7 days (Monday-Sunday). Shifts can range between 4-7.5 hours, depending on business needs and individual's abilities. We do plan to open into the evenings come the autumn, so more hours will be available then.

As we are a fresh food kitchen, and the majority of our menu is prepared from scratch, the majority of work is preparation and cleaning. We do not maintain a designated kitchen porter, so only those willing to clean and wash dishes need apply.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and meal assembly to ensure timely service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas. Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times. Support chefs and kitchen staff in cooking and catering tasks as needed. Help with inventory management and restocking supplies. Serve food to customers and assist in dining area maintenance.
