Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a cook. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills within a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with food preparation and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and service. Prior experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties

Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes according to established recipes and standards Support the team in meal preparation, ensuring timely and efficient service Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations Serve food to customers in a courteous and professional manner Help with stock control, including receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers and colleagues alike

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or serving within a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous but not mandatory Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Good organisational skills with attention to detail Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if required A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
