Duties

Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to specified recipes and standards Support the cooking process, ensuring dishes are prepared efficiently and to high quality standards Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing utensils, equipment, and surfaces Follow food safety regulations and hygiene procedures at all times Help with inventory management, including stock rotation and storage of ingredients Support serving staff during busy periods, ensuring timely delivery of meals to customers Contribute to maintaining a welcoming and professional environment within the kitchen Assist with special event catering or menu planning as required

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related role is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are equally valued Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Basic understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment is advantageous Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
