Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our culinary team as a Cook. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a focus on delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. This role requires both culinary expertise and an understanding of food safety standards to ensure that all dishes are prepared to perfection.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations Assist in meal preparation for large groups, ensuring timely service Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during service hours Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed Provide excellent service by presenting dishes attractively and responding to customer requests

Requirements

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant/Care Home setting Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy kitchen Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail A passion for food and commitment to delivering high-quality meals Previous experience in food preparation or serving is advantageous
