Duties

Assist in meal preparation and food preparation, ensuring all dishes are prepared according to recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Support catering operations by preparing and serving meals for events as required. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy service periods. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness. Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and restocking supplies as needed. Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including restaurant or catering experience. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of food safety practices. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining a positive attitude. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques and recipes.
