We are seeking a dedicated and passionate cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and contribute to the overall success of our kitchen operations. This role is perfect for someone looking to train up and just starting out or someone who is experienced and wants to work part-time in a newly-established bistro environment while adhering to food safety standards.
The Homebird Cafe is currently a small operation, serving sandwiches, salads, toasties and soups. We have plans to develop our business and to expand our current premises so we want to get the right people in place so that we have time to offer training and development.
We don't cater for huge amounts but a great experience, great coffee and well-presented high quality food is why our customers return to us.
We are currently looking for someone to work in the kitchen, for 5 days a week, around 25 hours to cover our busy lunch period. There will also be the opportunity for overtime during busy periods and holidays so a degree of flexibility is required. You don't need to be a chef right now, but an interest and capability in the kitchen is essential and trial days can be offered so that any potential candidates get to experience a day to see what we do.
