Kitchen Assistant / Cook

to join our team and help us keep up with our busy kitchen.

Role Overview:

As a Kitchen Assistant / Cook, you'll be hands-on in preparing our signature Jamaican dishes. You'll cook rice and peas, grill jerk chicken, and help prepare curries, stews, and vegetables while keeping the kitchen running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Cook rice and peas, plain rice, and other sides to a high standard. Grill jerk chicken Assist with preparing and cooking curries, stews, and other traditional Jamaican meals. Wash, chop, and prepare fresh vegetables and ingredients. Maintain kitchen cleanliness, safety, and organization at all times. Follow food hygiene and safety regulations. Work efficiently and communicate well with the team during busy service times.

Requirements:

Previous kitchen or cooking experience preferred (experience with Caribbean/Jamaican cuisine is an advantage). Ability to handle a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong attention to detail and consistency in food preparation. Team player with a positive and reliable attitude. Flexible with shifts, including evenings and weekends.
