We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our culinary team as a kitchen assistant. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering high-quality meals to our customers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen understanding of food safety practices.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary. Provide support in serving meals, ensuring presentation meets the cafe's standards. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety. Act as a Holiday cover Manager where required

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential; hospitality experience is highly desirable. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. A passion for cooking and delivering exceptional dining experiences to customers.
