?? Part time cook / food preperation 3 days per week (plus additional for holiday cover)

?? Hours will vary depending on day between 6-8 hour shifts (day time, no evenings)

The position that is available will require both weekday and weekend working

We offer a range of homemade cakes, tempting savouries and amazing coffee along with a selection of beer, wines & spirits and premium soft drinks.

Our coffee shop restaurant is modern yet homely and a place where everyone can come and relax in a comfortable environment.

We do get very busy with food service and all our food is prepared by us in house.

We're open 7 days a week with longer hours at the weekend.

ABOUT THE VACANCY

All our roles will involve a lot of interaction with our customers although the main part of this role will mainly be around food preperation and cooking.

Our lunches service revolves mainly around homemade soup, sandwiches & salads.

The main duties to include;

Preparing fresh vegetables and making our homemade soups Preparing fresh salad for lunch service Fulfilling customer orders for sandwiches, toasties, salads, soup & platters Keeping the workstation and kitchen area clean and tidy at all times Any end of day prep and handover for the next shift Cleaning & closing down the kitchen ready for the next working day
The salary for this role will of course meet minimum wage upwards depending on experience plus there are some staff perks included with the role such as free drinks and heavily discounted food.

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone who is confident dealing with people on a day to day basis, friendly and outgoing with a keen eye for detail and of course reliable and trustworthy.

You'll have experience working in a hospitality environment in a commercial kitchen and you must have at least a level 2 in food hygiene.

You must have a keen eye for detail and be able to work within our high standards at all times.

You'll be flexible and willing to change and not afraid to get your hands dirty and muck in when needed.

It is essential that you are comfortable working under your own initiaitive as during some periods you will be the only staff member in the kitchen.

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour
