Duties

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, including chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients. Support cooking staff during busy service periods by ensuring that all necessary tools and ingredients are readily available. Organise and store food items properly, adhering to health and safety regulations. Help with the cleaning of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is advantageous but not essential. Good knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills preferred. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A keen interest in hospitality and a passion for food service. Ability to work well within a team while also being self-motivated. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the business needs.
