Job Description

We are seeking an experienced kitchen assistant to join our new team, who will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment and supporting chefs to ensure a smooth service.

Working to a high cleanliness and speed when washing, drying and replenishing all kitchenware is essential to this role.

We are open Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays with up to 30 hours a week available. The successful candidate will be available to work all of these days each week.

Role description:

Cleaning and sanitising all kitchen utensils, equipment, and surfaces in accordance with health and safety standards Ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen area is maintained before, during and after service Managing the waste disposal and recycling procedures Maintaining a tidy work environment to meet hygiene regulations Assisting with basic food preparation tasks Ensuring the kitchen is closed down each night efficiently in readiness for the following day

Essential Skills

A good understanding kitchen safety and hygiene standards An understanding of deep cleaning a commercial kitchen Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality
