Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and production meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menus while ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food production. Participate in food preparation, cooking, and plating of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to strict food safety and hygiene regulations. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering as necessary. Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety practices, and operational procedures. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and exceptional guest experiences.

Experience

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques. Previous supervisory or team management experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential. Excellent leadership abilities with a passion for hospitality and customer service. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
